HP Birders Presentation

High Peaks Birders will present “Birds at Cane River Park”, a collection of bird photographs by Steve Buettner mostly taken at the park, upstairs at the Public Library in Burnsville, November 10 starting at 6 PM.

For such a small geographic area, the park has hosted an amazing variety of birds. Over 100 species have been observed there over the last few years, some nearly every visit, some occasional or seasonal, and some “one-hit wonders”. Steve will not only show his pictures, but also discuss where and at what time of year to look for specific ones. If the audience is interested, he can also delve into identification marks to watch for. There will be a door prize, a print of one of the birds featured in the presentation.

Steve has been birding for many years. He is originally from New England, lived in north Florida where he met his wife, spent 16 years in Colorado, and moved to Burnsville in 2010. He loves wild nature, and loves to share what he’s seen.
